Kabale University, through the Department of Business Studies in the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, in partnership with the Uganda Revenue Authority Kabale Station, hosted a professional guest lecture aimed at enhancing practical, industry oriented learning for students.
The session, facilitated by URA officials, provided valuable insights into contemporary tax administration in Uganda, bridging the gap between academic theory and real world practice. Key focus areas included tax compliance, use of digital e-tax systems, filing of returns, current tax reforms, and the practical expectations within the taxation profession.
The lecture was designed for second-year students pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.
Held on Friday, 17th April 2026 at the Prof. Tumusiime Mutebile Economics Resource Centre, the engagement reflects Kabale University’s ongoing commitment to equipping students with relevant skills, professional exposure, and industry knowledge necessary for today’s dynamic workforce.
