Kabale University joined stakeholders from Makerere University and the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) for the Uganda PhD Education Convening – Country-Level Inception and Co-Design Meeting held on Friday, 2nd October 2026 at the Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala.
The convening, under the PASGR PhD Models Project, brought together university leaders, academics, and partners to re-imagine PhD training models that are responsive to Africa’s development needs.
Discussions focused on strengthening the quality, relevance, and delivery of PhD programs in Uganda through collaborative co-design, shared learning, and institutional partnerships.
Kabale University remains committed to advancing doctoral education and research excellence as a pillar for national and regional transformation.
