In a significant step toward strengthening critical care services in Kisoro, the Department of Anaesthesia at Kabale University, in collaboration with Kabale Regional Referral Hospital, successfully trained 25 healthcare professionals at St. Francis Hospital Mutolere from 24th to 28th February 2025.
The training, led by Dr. Isabella Epiu, Mr. Mfitumukiza Valence, and Mr. Munezero Tamu, focused on equipping medical staff with essential ICU skills ahead of the official opening of the hospital’s new Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This initiative reflects Kabale University’s commitment to improving healthcare service delivery and fostering community development through capacity building.
We appreciate the partnership with St. Francis Hospital Mutolere and look forward to more collaborations aimed at advancing medical education and healthcare in Uganda.
