Kabale University Holds Information Session for Internal Grants Applicants

The Directorate of Research and Grants (DRG) at Kabale University conducted an Information Session for Internal Grants Applicants to guide staff and students who expressed interest in the University’s Internal Research Grants Call. The session aimed at building capacity among researchers on proposal development, project implementation and accountability for internally funded research projects.

Held at HERAS Country Hotel, the event brought together academic staff from various faculties and research units. Out of 68 Expressions of Interest (EOI) received between 24th October and 3rd November 2025, applicants were invited to gain a deeper understanding of the expectations for successful proposal submission and project management.

The Chief DRG, Dr. Julius Alexander Arinaitwe, officially opened the session and emphasized Kabale University’s commitment to supporting research and innovation that contributes to national development. In his remarks, he urged researchers to develop competitive, impactful proposals aligned with the University’s research agenda.

Participants also benefited from a detailed Q&A session that addressed common challenges in research management and compliance.

The DRG reaffirmed its commitment to supporting staff and students in producing quality, ethical and impactful research. The session concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Julius Arinaitwe, who appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and encouraged continued engagement in future calls.
