Kabale University celebrated the remarkable leadership and service of outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joy Constance Kwesiga, during her Farewell Ceremony held on 4th September 2026 at Kikungiri Campus.
In her farewell address, Prof. Kwesiga reflected on her two-decade journey at the University, the challenges overcome, the people and institutions that contributed to its growth and the transformation of Kabale University from a private institution into a growing public university.
She expressed profound gratitude to the Government of Uganda, University leadership, staff, students, alumni, partners, the community, friends and family for their contribution to the University’s journey.
As she concluded her tenure, Prof. Kwesiga expressed confidence in Kabale University’s future, noting that strong systems are in place and encouraging the University community to continue building on the foundation established over the years.
