Kabale University today 30th July 20206 has officially welcomed eight (8) senior academic volunteers under the Technical Aid Corps (TAC) program from Nigeria, who will serve at the University for a period of two years.
The sixth cohort comprises highly qualified professionals, all holding PhD qualifications, and will strengthen teaching, research, and academic mentorship across four academic units. Two volunteers have been deployed to the Kabale University School of Medicine (KABSOM), two to the Faculty of Engineering, two to the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and two to the Faculty of Science.
The arrival of the volunteers follows the official send-off ceremony of the sixth TAC cohort held on 13th July 2026 under the office of the  Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance & Administration, reaffirming the longstanding partnership between the Technical Aid Corps of Nigeria and Kabale University in advancing higher education, knowledge exchange, and capacity building
