Kabale University is conducting a five-day capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening the institution’s competitiveness in securing international research and academic grants. The workshop brings together 50 academic staff members to develop practical skills in proposal development for Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ funding opportunities.
Using a “Live Lab” approach, participants are working in thematic research clusters to develop real grant proposals while enhancing consortium-building, technical writing, budgeting, and project implementation skills. The training aligns with the Kabale University Strategic Plan (2025/26–2029/30), particularly its focus on academic excellence, research innovation, internationalization, and financial sustainability.
The initiative also seeks to maximize existing partnerships and collaboration agreements, positioning Kabale University to take a leading role in international research consortia and global academic engagement.
