The Faculty of Law hosted a law scholar from Makerere University, Dr. Daniel Ruhweza. It was part of a research seminar and training program organized by the faculty for staff and students. Training was conducted on 19th March 2025. A key objective of this event was to empower academic staff to sharpen their research and publication skills, thus aligning with the University’s strategic goals regarding research, innovation, and academic excellence.
Dr. Daniel Ruhweza is a renowned legal scholar in Uganda and throughout the region. In addition to being a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, he is also the Acting Head of the Department of Law and Jurisprudence. Additionally, he is the Coordinator of the Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa program at Makerere University School of Law and the Patron of its Moot Society.
