As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, Kabale University proudly participated in the global World Cleanup Day on September 20th, 2025. Spearheading this initiative was the KAB Youth Mappers –a dynamic student-led organization passionate about community development. This year’s cleanup effort focused on Mwanjari Market and Kabale Central Market two of the busiest commercial hubs in the municipality. Equipped with protective gear, waste collection tools, and boundless energy, the Youth Mappers mobilized fellow students and volunteers in a successful campaign to rid the markets of litter, plastics, and non-biodegradable waste. The activity was not only a practical effort to create a cleaner environment but also served as an educational experience, raising awareness among vendors, shoppers, and the wider community about the importance of waste management and environmental stewardship. The cleanup initiative aligns with Kabale University’s broader vision of fostering responsible, environmentally conscious graduates who actively contribute to societal well-being. The university administration applauds the Youth Mappers for their leadership, teamwork, and sense of civic duty demonstrated throughout the event.KAB is honored to highlight and document such impactful student-led initiatives. The commitment shown by the Kab Youth Mappers reflects the values we strive to instill at Kabale University leadership, responsibility, and service.
