In a demonstration of regional solidarity and commitment to community development, staff and alumni of Kabale University in Rwanda actively participated in the country’s monthly Umuganda community service on Saturday, 26th July 2025.
Umuganda, a traditional Rwandan practice, takes place on the last Saturday of every month. It mobilizes citizens and residents across the country to engage in public works and environmental conservation efforts. The initiative promotes unity, patriotism and sustainable development values that resonate strongly with Kabale University’s mission of service, regional cooperation and responsible citizenship.
This participation by Kabale University staff and alumni reflects the institution’s broader vision to foster regional collaboration, civic engagement and environmental stewardship among its community. The university remains dedicated to nurturing strong community partnerships and contributing to both national and cross-border initiatives that advance development and unity.
