Showcasing the remarkable efforts of a collaborative project between Kabale University, the Jane Goodall Institute, and Dr. Rosie Trevelyan of the Tropical Biology Association in Uganda’s Albertine Rift region.
In this photo gallery, we take you through a visual journey that captures the restoration of once-degraded forests in the heart of the Albertine Rift. These forests, central to ecological balance and wildlife habitat, had suffered from activities like charcoal burning, agriculture, animal rearing, and lumbering.
Our dedicated team, supported by the Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund, embarked on a mission to rejuvenate these vital ecosystems. The goal? To restore the lush tropical forests and enhance local capacity for large-scale ecosystem restoration.
We invite you to explore these images and be part of the journey towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, we are working to ensure that these forests continue to thrive, benefiting both wildlife and local communities.
